For those who may be interested, this article is quite good. Linkage is: www.tucsonteaparty.org/?p=79The Glenn Reynolds Blog Instapundit.com has at least one Tea party story each day and sometimes many. No wild man or foolish "junk". Just good linkages from around the conservative areas of thought in this nation. Joel

Howdy all, My name is Trent Humphries, along with Robert Meyer we co-organized the Tucson Tea Party. We first set out to make t-shirts we did so mainly to identify volunteers during our first event. We printed a few extra to hopefully sell to defray costs. Turns out we sold out the extra the day after they were printed. We were then able to attend a few Republican Club meetings and sell a few more we subsequently printed. We then used the extra funds to invest in some t-shirts to sell at the event, had a few hundred printed, and sold out 45 minutes after the event started. We paid for the entire event, insurance, port-a-potties, park deposit with t-shirt sales, paid for 50 volunteer shirts, and made enough extra to allow us to get a good financial start on our next big event. The trick is that the same thing would work in Florida too, and it would allow you to expand the scope of what you can accomplish. It also allowed us to brand our movement and give the tea party supporters a sense of identity. It bothers me that Robert and I, and Glenn Reynolds (thanks Glenn) are the ones that are trying to get this important information out there rather than the national Tea Party leaders. We aren't selling anything, we just want to see the Tea Parties succeed on a grassroots level, and will help any other group as much as they need get there as well.
