Sent on "THE DAY" 041509 This is my first entre herein, so if I breach any rules or commit a faux pas, do NOT open fire. I am much too old to duck and run for cover. I am retired and beyond the time when any employment other than bagging groceries is open to me, and certainly not in my former profession. Ergo, I have time to read. So I read. I read a lot. I read more than a lot. I read lots of lots. For the past several years, I have sent my completed books to the: Walter Read Army Medical Center 6900 Georgia Avenue, NW Building#56, Washington, DC 20307Attention: Kate DyermondI average approx 25 books a month and if sent via "book rate" at your local Postal Facility, the cost is relatively inexpensive. Under $10.00 for a box of 15-25 combined paperback/hardbacks. This way you have more available room in your residence and the soldiers at the hospital have some additional entertainment. Just another arrow in our "good guy"quiver. Best regards, joel311

I have supported the troops for over 6 years now. I have a list of local troops and others who would love to hear from as many Americans as possible. If you would like to write to some troops who are deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq right now, please e-mail me at kaindavie@aol.com. The cost is only $.42.............. THEY NEED TO HEAR FROM ALL OF US!!
