Hi- How about a bumper sticker that reads : "SOCIALISM IS UNAMERICAN"- your thoughts, too far off the path?
Having a whole bunch of volunteers going throughout the crowd is a great idea. I also think a seperate table to "Suppot Our Heroes and Warriors" could also go a long way in bringing in donations. I will volunteer for either.
Opinions and thoughts? razz

I would like to help by volunteering to sit at a table to sell. I am also available to help with lettering signs etc. I don't have much money to help with but, I do have time to volunteer. Please let me know what I can do and what you need.

New Idea!
We are going to sell the bumper stickers still, but we are also going to have rubber bracelets (like the live strong) customized for the Tax Day Tea Party and sell them for probably 1-2 dollars a piece. So we will need volunteers for that as well!
What do you think?

I know I will buy one. I will wear it with my Allen West for Congress bracelet.
Nice idea.

how about pricing on these bracelets. They cost .44 piece after shipping and tax. I got 750 in red and 750 in blue. They say "Revolution is Brewing." (which is the kind of slogan for the national movement). Should I charge 1.00 a piece. Our profit is going to be much for the soliders that way.
I was thinking 2.00 for one or 2 for 3.00. Try to get people to buy two of them and give them one to their children or grandkids or friends. Plus then they can get one red and one blue?
Comments anyone?

A slogan can be:
Contitution YES Socialism NO This message is not off the path but a fact!

Hi Laureen,
Have you thought that probably Pro_Obama will be to confront and try to disrupt our Tea Party?
What contingencies are being prepared if any?
I do not think that Obama's supporters are going to be sitting home while we protest his actions and those of his cronies.

We are not foreseeing anti protests as a problem right now. I hardly think 5 or 10 people are gonna come and antiprotest 1000-5000 people. We will have the police out there to handle situations like that if they should arise.

Only thing to do if there are any anti-rally folks is to ignore them. Don't argue, don't try to convince, don't give them the time of day. They will be small in number if there are any. They can't be convinced of anything. Their sole purpose may be to discrupt and take away the message.
Ignore. Ignore. Ignore.

Lauren, I would like to have a box for the kids to put pictures they color, or for anyone to place letters to the troops, and I will mail them to military persons who are from the local area if that is okay. If someone selling the bracelets could be at the table it would tie in well.

Are we going to just hand the bracelets to the individuals who buy them or are we going to have some kind of small box to put them in? The box itself could have some kind of saying or symbol on it. Buying these boxes in quantity (plain) is not that expensive. If not a saying on the box - how about putting some kind of sticker on each one (I believe flag stickers are available)? Price of the bracelets should encourage a "deal". One for $2.00, two for $3.00 sounds like a good buy.

Yeh...we are just going to hand them out. We are trying to optimize profit. To have them individual wrapped or boxed would have cost almost .20 more. It doesn't seem like a lot but if we sell all 1500...that takes $300 away from our soliders.
You can buy red or blue...so they are american colors...and they say "Revolution is Brewing." which is our catchphrase/slogan for the national tea party movement.
I think they are going to be awesome. I will wear mine all the time. It's a good conversation piece. Someone will see it and say "oh whats that one for" and you'll tell them. Maybe that's one more person we can get involved in telling washington that enough is enough.

Sounds like a great idea. I will supply the crayons for the kids if you need me to.
